1849
Foundation of Electro Homeopathy
Cesare Mattei, disappointed with conventional medicine, began learning and searching for natural healing methods. Mattei started studying Paracelsus and Hahnemann and chose exclusive plant-based remedies, avoiding those of animal or mineral origin.
1850
The dog was inspiring
Cesare Mattei experimented with his first remedy on a sick dog, which inspired him to explore the curative power of plants in the form of vegetable electricity.
1859

The initial experiment at St. Teresa Hospital focused on providing treatment to over 2,000 patients.

Vade Mecum
The first Italian publication on Electro Homeopathy is widely acknowledged as the Vade Mecum.
1887-1896
Semi-retirement and his death.
Electro Homeopathy was supported by his adopted collaborator, Mario Venturoli, whom he officially adopted in 1888. Mattei passed away on April 3, 1896, at the age of 87 in Grizzana Morandi, Italy.
1890–1899
Theodor Krauss’s contributions
Between 1890 and 1896, Dr. Theodor Krauss, a German physician and scholar, emerged as the main translator, reformer, and therapeutic developer of Count Cesare Mattei’s Electro Homeopathy system.
1900-1930
Theodor Krauss: Scientific Heir to Mattei and Architect of EH Reform
Krauss’s work ensured that Mattei’s legacy didn’t fade after his death in 1896—instead, it evolved into a structured, scientifically respected system that continues to influence Spagyric Electro Homeopathy today. Count Mattei’s Electro Homeopathy system into German, refined its therapeutic logic, and developed standardized remedies. His work became the scientific backbone of EH, later formalized through the JSO Germany, ensuring the system’s survival and evolution beyond Mattei’s death in 1896.
